Throughout our career as developers in the field of POS systems, we regularly come across a wealth of interesting facts, observations and suggestions that help us improve our system. We have now prepared a short demonstration test for you in the catering sector, which was created in response to positive feedback from our clients. The test will compare how quickly a waiter works with paper-based orders and how quickly they work with a mobile terminal. Of course, it is not just a question of the waiter’s speed, but also of how well other staff members prepare the orders.
A waiter at a restaurant with a capacity of 120 seats took part in the test. The occupancy rate in both cases was approximately 50%, meaning that at the time the test was carried out, there were 60 real customers in the restaurant who were hungry and thirsty.
