Use of equipment and safety precautions
Radiofrequency and health information
The health authorities recommend that studies continue and, as a precautionary measure, limit exposure to electromagnetic fields emitted by mobile devices by announcing measures that can be easily implemented. They also advise users of mobile devices, when used in proximity to the human body, to observe the conditions of use with particular care at the distances specified in the user manuals of mobile devices. In addition, safety rules for yourself and others should be observed.
General recommendations on reducing exposure to radio waves
- Device, with or without a headset, keep your mobile device out of the womb of pregnant women or the lower abdomen of any teenager.
- Also use the text or web browsing features from your mobile device. These features require you to look at your mobile device's screen from a distance, allowing distance between your stomach or head and your device, reducing their exposure.
- Use your device in good coverage conditions as it automatically adapts its radiation power to the radio signals it receives from your operator. Coverage is good when 4 or 5 network signals appear on the screen. There may be some degradation in network coverage in certain areas or situations, namely in an elevator, train, car, underground parking or just in an area with limited coverage.
Security measures for users and non-users
- Do not use mobile devices while driving, even with a headset. Using a device while driving is dangerous and is a serious factor in accidents due to distractions created by the conversation itself or any other use (text, web browsing...). Place the mobile device within 15 cm of any electronic implant (pacemaker, insulin pump, neurostimulator...) and use it from the opposite side of the implant to avoid any interference. Refer to the device user manual and consult your physician. Observe the safety rules and restrictions of use relating to certain places or situations (plans, hospitals, petrol stations, professional workshop, schools...).
- Do not listen to a device in music mode that runs at full power for a long period of time. At full power, prolonged use of a music player can irreversibly damage the user's hearing. Therefore, moderate power consumption is recommended. In addition, the usage tips and safety rules included in the manufacturer's user manual must be followed.
- As a precautionary measure, health authorities advise parents who wish to make devices available to their children or teenagers to limit their exposure to mobile telecommunications technology and encourage moderate use of their devices.
- Be sure to inquire about any means to reduce exposure when using equipment that emits electromagnetic fields. If any adverse effect needs to be limited, children and adolescents may be more sensitive because their bodies are still developing. Encourage moderate use of mobile telecommunications technologies. Encourage, even if not related to exposure to radio frequencies, moderate use of mobile devices by avoiding night-time telecommunications and limiting call length and frequency...
Application tip to ensure optimal function of your device
- Regularly back up and empty your device data (photos, videos, etc.) to avoid the effects of memory overload (slowdowns, lockups, etc.). Completely shut down all apps that are not in use.
- Periodically shut down/restart your device to cleanly exit applications running in the background that may affect battery life.
- Update the device when a maintenance version is available.
- In case of prolonged non-use, charge the device for at least 1/2 hour (to avoid deep discharge).
- Use the charger if included, the same brand if available, or respect the following technical features:
- Standard CE marking.
- Voltage 5.0V.
- Current range from 550 mA to 2A.
- Any failure caused by a charger that does not meet these characteristics may be subject to exclusion from the warranty.
Data protection and software updates
- Data protection in the event of a software update of your device according to its compatibility with this service:
- To provide you with the best service, your device will automatically check/get software update information from the manufacturer and its partners when connected to the internet.
- This process may use mobile data and requires access to your device's identifying information, such as its IMEI number, serial number (SN) and your network operator ID (PLMN), to verify that your device can be upgraded.
- This data is collected only for the purpose of updating the software and will not be subject to any further processing.
- Privacy as part of the process of returning your device to the operator:
- Whatever the reason for returning your device to your operator or the relevant authorised service centre, please note that by default, all personal data contained in the device will be systematically and irreversibly deleted and therefore not further processed.
- The only personal data we hold is the data collected and communicated by your operator, which we will only use for the purpose of correction.
Disposal of your old appliance
Your product is an electronic device that must be recycled in accordance with the recommendations. Contact your dealer to find out the available recycling circuits. If your device has a removable battery, be sure to recycle it according to the recommendations.
This symbol on the product, accessories or documentation means that neither the product nor its accessories (chargers, headphones, connecting cable, etc.) can be disposed of with other normal household waste.
This symbol on the battery means that the battery for this product should not be disposed of with other common household waste at the end of the battery's life.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH ALL INTERNATIONAL RADIO WAVE EXPOSURE GUIDELINES
Your mobile device is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international and French guidelines.
These guidelines, developed by an independent scientific body (ICNIRP), include a significant safety margin to ensure the safety of people regardless of age or health level.
The unit of measurement used for these guidelines is the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate).
For mobile devices, the maximum SAR values allowed are 2.0 W/kg for the head and body at 5 mm and 4.0 W/kg for the body at 0 mm.
The maximum SAR values for this model, allowed in accordance with the ICNIRP guidelines, are:
SAR values for EU countries: the SAR values listed below apply only to devices intended for use in the European Union.
Maximum SAR values
SAR testing has been performed on this device in accordance with standards*.
To meet RF exposure guidelines, the device must be worn at least this distance from the body.
This data refers to use known as "reasonably foreseeable", which means use within 20 cm of the relevant part of the human body as indicated in the table above (head, body or limbs).
During use, actual SAR values for this device are generally substantially lower than the values listed above. This is because, in order to make the system more efficient and reduce network interference, the operating power of your mobile device is automatically reduced when full power is not required for a call. The lower the output power of the device, the lower the SAR value.
*These tests are performed in accordance with EN 50360, EN 50566, EN 62209-1 and EN 62209-2.
